I reside in South Abington Township with my wife, Dr. Margaret Billings-Jones.  We have five sons:  Russell Jones, M.D., Dan, Steve, Bill, and Evan.  My widowed mother, Mary Jones Ball, a nurse who worked with the handicapped at Keystone City Residence, raised me along with my three sisters, Mary Beth, Kathy, and Reisa.  My father, Reese Jones, served in World War II and received eight battle star citations.

After graduating from Scranton Prep, I attended the University of Scranton.  While at the University, I was selected with approximately fifteen other students from the entire class for a curriculum in academic excellence.  During the four-year period, I received both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees, simultaneously, graduating magna cum laude.

I attended the Columbus School of Law and had the opportunity to represent the School in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition in New Orleans.  During that time, I interned in the United States Attorneys Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

I am admitted to practice law in the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County, the United States Middle District, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.  I have had the opportunity to successfully participate in matters on behalf of the Community, including before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
